I have to wonder if I missed my calling. I would have made an excellent Home Economist.

 

BTW, I am loving the Nifty Thrift  on the Flickr these days. Go take a look at all the gorgeous treasures other people have found. Wow!

Great finds. I have that same cookbook. Since I was a little girl, I have loved little party picks, swizzle sticks, cocktail swords and such. I can't bear to use the ones I have, though. I just like looking at them.

I feel the same way about those little picks, swizzle sticks and cocktail swords. It's like my button collection- I just want to look at them! ;)

As a child I had this idea that being grownup must be so sophisticated, what, with all the dressing up and swanky cocktails! In my case, I'm sure I got these ideas from watching too much TV.

I'm probably still a little like that. I love to collect tiki mugs, cocktail shakers, vintage bar accessories, etc. but I can't tell you the last time I actually drank a cocktail. I'm more of a beer girl, ha ha!
