I recently made a cool jewelry organizer following this turorial.

 

 

All you need is an old frame (I got mine at Urban Ore), some window screen, a staple gun, and ribbon. Really easy!

I recently took a few pictures at the site of an abandoned dairy (Deborah, if you're reading this, you know what I'm talking about). I wanted to post them but I had so much darn fun playing around with the FREE 'photo editing awesomeness' that is Picnik , I thought I'd share that with you, too.

Seriously, I can't stop playing with photos over at that site. I promise it can make anyone's pictures look cool in the click of a button.

tiki time, too

I've been collecting tiki mugs and such since college (too many years ago to tell you) and I have certain rules. I admit it- I am a snob & can only buy from thrift stores and that sort of thing- and I refuse to pay over a buck or two.  Most of mine have cost anywhere from a 10 ¢ to about $2, maybe $3.

Of course there are exceptions to every rule & I am willing to pay more if the mug contains a drink, ha ha! Some of you might recognize mugs from Trader Dick's and Forbidden Island. 

It's slow going these days, but they're still out there.

This one is the most recent and cost a buck.

I'd keep it for myself, but honestly, I'd burn ice cubes if given half the chance. If you're up to the task of planning a slumber party or a Holiday in Mexico Prom or a  Sukiyaki Party for the gang, then you're a better woman (or man) than I.
